Intelligent washing

AI Wash+

Clean clothes thoroughly, gently and efficiently*. AI Wash+ senses the laundry’s weight and uses the appropriate amount of water and detergent. It also detects the fabric**, now including Outdoor and Denim fabrics, and monitors the soiling level, adding detergent or rinsing time if needed.

Intelligent washing

* Based on an AI-created algorithm and internal testing using the AI Wash+ cycle on an IEC 3.6kg load. A turbidity sensor operates for all weights, while fabric sensing operates for 3.6kg and under. Actual results may vary depending on individual use.
** Based on an advanced AI-created algorithm. It may not detect certain fabrics or accurately identify them when a load includes a mixture of different fabric types. To prevent wear, wash like fabrics together.

Fit in many items

20KG Ultra Capacity

Wash many laundry items at once – saving time and effort. The washing machine has an ultra capacity of 20KG, so you can fit lots of clothes into a single load, including big items like a king-sized comforter. It means you need to wash fewer loads and can enjoy more time for yourself.

Save time & waste

Flex Auto Dispense System

Get great washing results with less effort*. A Flex Auto Dispense System dispenses the right amount of detergent and softener for each load. It gives you the flexibility to use various detergents and softeners and holds enough for up to 20 loads, or up to 34 loads if you only use detergent**.

* Actual results may vary depending on individual use.
**Expected number of loads: Detergent compartment can hold general detergent for up to 20 loads. Flex compartment can hold one of the following: softener for up to 20 loads, general detergent for up to 14 loads or specialty detergent for up to 18 loads.

Hygiene

At the end of the course, the washer door opens automatically. The icon at the bottom right explains the Auto Open Door feature.

Prevents damp smells

Auto Open Door

Avoid having to wash clothes because they smell unpleasant if they are not taken out immediately. When a cycle ends, Auto Open Door automatically opens the door to let humid air escape. So your laundry won’t develop a musty odor from being damp and it helps keep the washer fresh and clean.

Performance

The duvet inside the washing machine drum is being scanned. The bedding cycle detects the duvet's thickness as either Thick or Thin, adjusting the wash time and water level accordingly.

Smart blanket washing

Bedding

Wash your blankets thoroughly, while saving time and water. The Bedding cycle senses the thickness of blankets (thin/thick*) and then adjusts the cycle time and water usage accordingly. So when a thin small blanket is detected it reduces the washing time and the amount of water**.

* Washes dry blankets weighing up to 4 kg. A thin blanket is made of 100% cotton material, no filling (size 240 x 160cm, over 710g). A thick blanket is an ultra-fine fiber comforter (size 200 x 180 x 3cm, over 1900g)
** Based on internal testing comparing the WF53********** model (with the previous bedding course) to the WF90F53AD
*** model (with the new bedding course) when washing 1 bed sheet (IEC 60456 bed sheet: 100% cotton, no filling, 240 x 160cm). When a thin blanket is detected the washing time is reduced by 14 minutes and the water usage is reduced by 20 liters. Results may vary depending on the actual bedding and usage conditions.

Monitor and reduce your energy use. AI Energy mode* lets you easily check the power consumption and estimates your electricity bill. For certain cycles**, it helps you reduce energy use by over 30%*** with the same performance****, by reducing the use of a heater and increasing the cycle time.

** Can be applied on Towels, AI OptiWash™, Heavy Duty, Super Speed, Small Load cycle only when the selected washing temperature is ‘hot’.

A person is using SmartThings app on a smartphone by connecting Wi-Fi. The SmartThings app makes washing efficient - Users can delay the end of the cycle by up to 24 hours. Auto Cycle Link is automatically enabled for optimal drying course.

Wi-Fi Embedded

Use your washer easily and effectively with the SmartThings App*, which enhances your washing. Delay End lets you pre-set a wash course’s ending time. And Auto Cycle Link** selects a suitable drying course after a wash.

How to measure
