Ingredients
Dough
- 50g Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 345g all-purpose flour
- 1 Packet Instant Yeast
- 120ml Milk
- 60ml Water
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
Cinnamon Filling
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 cup Sugar
Topping
- 1 cup Icing Sugar
- 2–3 Tablespoons Espresso
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
Dough:
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together and leave to rest.
- In a separate microwave-safe bowl, mix the milk, water, and butter together.
- Microwave the mixture until the butter is melted and the mixture is warm.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients.
- Add 1 egg and mix until a soft dough consistency forms.
- Knead the dough for 3 minutes.
- Leave the dough to rest for 10 mins
Filling:
- Roll the dough out.
- Spread the butter on top.
- Combine the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle across the dough.
- Roll up the dough and cut into 10-12 even rolls and arrange in a lightly greased cake pan.
- Let the dough rise in a warm area for an hour or two.
Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Icing:
- Mix the icing sugar, vanilla, and coffee.
- Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls.
